About Steen
Vendortell was co-founded by Steen together with Morten Ditmer, Mathias Salomonsson, Søren Søe Holm, Tue Martin Berg, and Søren Kyd — and built shoulder-to-shoulder with Kasper Vestergaard Larsen as strategic investor and direct partner. It began with a number Steen could not stop thinking about: a company in his network had lost DKK 500,000 in supplier bonus payments they had earned but never claimed — value negotiated years earlier and quietly buried across 200+ vendor contracts. When he looked closer, the same pattern repeated everywhere. Contracts defined billions in financial obligations and entitlements, but nobody was measuring whether that value actually moved from paper to bank account.
That gap became Vendortell's founding premise: contracts are financial infrastructure, not documents, and they deserve the same operational discipline as ERP transactions. As CEO, Steen leads a team that combines category-defining product thinking, deep commercial and enterprise-SaaS experience, and a legal-and-operator perspective — establishing Contract Performance Management as the operating layer where negotiated value gets captured, tracked, and defended over the full lifetime of every commercial relationship.
Today Steen and the Vendortell team work directly with CFOs, CPOs, and finance leaders across Europe who recognize the pattern: strong negotiation, weak capture. Together they have analyzed more than 10,000 contract books, and the message they bring is direct — contracts are the largest under-managed financial asset on the balance sheet, and there is a real, measurable number for what gets left behind.
